On November 2, 2010, residents in the Fairwood area will have an opportunity to vote on whether to annex to the City of Renton.

Annexation to Renton is supported by King County and the City of Renton. The annexation request was initiated by Fairwood citizens and property owners, and was approved by the King County Boundary Review board with minor modifications on April 10, 2010.

During the next few months, residents will have an opporutnity to attend public meetings and learn how annexation will affect them. We encourage you to attend these meetings so you can make your own decision based on first-hand factual information. 

Choose Renton believes there are many benefits to annexing to the City of Renton, primarily fiscal security for our future, lower taxes, and improved services especially in the area of public safety, police protection and emergency services.
